Our "hosts" parents

our kitchen table, like it?

Carlos and Preston

We had a family dinner with the Beltrans, and after our dinner we got out some instruments and had a little music show.
We took mitch to one of our favorite places to eat called Rosie's, and while we were waiting for our food, tito was teaching dana and mitch how to make this indian noise with thier hands. In no time at all, mitch was able to make the noise, as for the rest of us, we are still trying....
This is one of the first times kelsey and morgan straightened their hair....
This is the first place we ate when we got off the plane.....
only in mexico.....
Morgan got her wash cloth stuck in her nose ring.....
we passed buckets of rocks and sand up to each other to make piles on top of the roof, in the picture below were our positions.....
We got on a bus to go to eat and there were probably 40 to 50 people on that bus, it was a little crammedhere is kyle....
our times at the park near our house....

El Quelite

This is the wonderful land of El Quelite a place that Lilia and JR took us. The monday that Mitch was here visiting we drove about 45 minutes for breakfast. It is an adorable little town with an amazing restaurant that Tito and Tita are loyal to. The retired town doctor owns it and it is in the back of his beautiful house. Unfortunately most of the good pictures including all the ones of the restaurant are on Mitch's camera. But the highlights were chips, salsa, cheese, and fresh squeezed orange juice all waiting at the table for you. And then they serve you coffee and a bowl of fresh fruit. All this and the food hasnt even come yet, so then we ate this amazing breakfast (Preston, Morgan and Janae had cactus, tastes like greens beans and is quite good actually) and took a tour of the doctor's house. It was very unique and inventive, one bathroom's sink was two trumpets coming out of the wall and you turn the water on by twisting a key. To finish things off we walked around the town and took pictures...

Escuinapa

This weekend all of us piled into Alfonzo's truck with all our bags and headed for the bus station....we are going to ESCUINAPA! This is a little town about 1 1/2 outside of Mazatlan. We got there about mid afternoon on Friday, went to the hotel to drop our things off, went to the church to help Alfonzo start the cleaning (he is moving to out of the building into homes because the place where the church was, they are tearing it down and making aparments. So now they are having church in homes.), then grabbed a quick lunch.....

Friday Afternoon
While we were cleaning the church we found some clown costumes, so we decided to put them on......
and painted our faces.......
and then we went to invite the kids of Pueblo Nuevo to come on Saturday and play.

In the picture below, they are chanting Kelsey's name because they wanted her to run around the place where we where, so they could chase her!!! They did that with all of us. It was great fun!!these are a couple of kids from the church, they went with us where we went!

About mid-afternoon on Saturday, we finished cleaning the church and putting everything in a storage unit.

These little critters were all over the place in the storage unit, the one below was dead, but there were plenty of live ones we got to see! (This is just for you Rochelle) The girls also found one in their room Sunday morning, while they were doing devotions, preston heroically killed it.
We also found some cocroaches......
This is another little critter Janae and Laura found in the church, they named it Henry....

Pueblo Nuevo
on Saturday afternoon

Saturday around 4, we headed back over to pueblo nuevo. We played "duck, duck, goose", did some face painting, sang a couple worship songs, then we did a drama called "The Treasure". We shared with them that Jesus is our treasure and He is also our comforter, healer, and our peace....

they really like this parachute....
we had a great time!!!!

Sunday morning

New Song Escuinapa

Kyle, Dana, and Preston led worship for the church and then Kyle and Dana gave their testimonies. They did a fabulous job! Then Dana, Janae, Laura, Morgan and Preston took the kids outside and played a whole bunch of games with them, while kyle and Kelsey stayed inside with Alfonso and partnered with him in prayer over each person in the church.
its frank, and that pretty much says it all....

We over all had a really great time, and we are going back in two weeks.
