Oh this week has been amazing! We are learning so
much about the culture and about this city Mazatlan. We are truly blessed to be staying with Jose and Lilia! As everyone said so, we are definitely spoiled! :) While John was here, he showed us a lot of the city. He sh
owed us the Golden Zone-thats where all the tourists go and shop! Friday, John took us down to
the beach! We walked 2 or so miles on the beach, along the way, we happened to come upon a dead, roasting sea lion that was full
of flies and maggots yum yum!!
Also along this journey, kyle stood very proudly
all got up early and climbed in the back of Johnny's truck and
headed off. It was about a 20 minute, painful drive to the bottom of the trail. Johnny's driving isn't the best...plus he took us for a
couple of spins (literally) around the round-a-bouts. Good times! We finally got to the top and had an amazing view! We stayed a bit to pray for the city too! It was incredible to be up there!
That night, we were able to go to youth. When we walked into the door they had a sign up for us as you see in the picture, and when we walked around it they all jumped out to meet us! We

felt extremely welcomed and loved! Being with the youth was amazing, we all feel that during this trip the Lord has many things He wants to do in the youth and we are excited to get to know them more and to partner with the youth pastors, Rosio and Carlos!!
Sunday we got up to go to the church! It felt very much like home, except for the fact it was in Spanish! It was slightly challenging, but nonetheless, exciting to meet our extended family! Later that day, we met the youth at the mall. The girls showed us (Dana, Janae, Morgan, Laura) where

they like to go, which happened to be a huge arcade with a mini roller-coaster and a mini teacup ride and of course many video game machine things. Afterwards, John came to pick us up to go to Mega a.k.a. "Costco." Here you can see the picture...we were coming down
an escalator that had magic powers (the cart seemed to stay in place) Our transportation home was a fabulous mexican bus! Can't you see how much fun were having!?Monday-rest day! Our sabbath! Gloria a Dios! We went to the beach. The boys and Kelsey made their "home made" recliner chairs! It was a fun day in the sun! OH! And we saw some flamingos in a hotel court yard...who would have thought!? Only in Mexico, right?

Anyway...we'll be updating weekly! Love you guys! Thank you for all your prayers! - Laura and Morgan
